Wolves in the Throne Room re-imagined black metal as an ode to rain storms, wood smoke and the wild energies of the Pacific Northwest. Their first studio album, Diadem Of 12 Stars (2006), was a genre-dissolving classic that created a melancholy and psychedelic Cascadian atmosphere.
Thrice Woven is the first studio album from the Olympia, Washington black metal band since 2011’s Celestial Lineage. Featuring guest vocal appearances from Steve Von Till (Neurosis) and Anna Von Hausswolff — and featuring striking cover art from occult Russian artist Denis Forkas — Thrice Woven takes the listener on a journey through collapsing crystalline riffs that shift and lament into ritualistic laments.
