Unaussprechlichen Kulten – Baphomet Pan Shub–Niggurath CD

Chile's Unuassprechlichen Kulten returns with their third full-length, and first since 2008. Ever aptly titled, Baphomet Pan Shub-Niggurath is a dizzying, diabolical ascent into pure occultic death metal - by lifers, for lifers. To brand UNAUSSPRECHLICHEN KULTEN "Lovecraftian" would do a disservice to their longstanding, sulfuric Metal of Death; although a compliment to be sure, their sepulchral attack evades the easy categorization usually reserved for death metal branded as such. For on Baphomet Pan Shub-Niggurath, the quartet measure their maniacal musings with the utmost ease and the panache of veterans, pacing their way through the slime and then exploding with bestial bursts, guiding the listener through catacombs both metaphysical and literal. As always, UNAUSSPRECHLICHEN KULTEN are masters of economy and drive the point home with truncated, iron-fisted effect, thus ensuring a swift and savage experience. Let the ceremony begin!
