Stung, Issue #6 BK / Zine

'Stung' is a monthly zine made by local Melbourne photographer and visual artist Sally Townsend. As a photographer and visual artist, Sally describes Stung as a place for her to share artwork, photos and text and as a way for them to connect through sharing ideas, art and music. Each month's full colour issue has a different theme, which will either be a reflection on a topic Sally is interested in, or their feelings about the world around them and their experiences. David Lynch had a massive influence on Sally's whole approach to art and creativity, and when he passed, she was devastated. Looking back through her photography from various trips to the US between 2015-2019, and with some new edits, Sally curated this collection of photos that reminded her of him. Adding in some hand stamped, collaged text dialogue from various Lynch movies, Stung #6 is Sally's tribute to her favourite artist and filmmaker.
