In 37 years of instrument building, noise making and noise machine construction, Australia's Rod Cooper has used everything from tape, gadgets, mortal coils, drain spaces, bridge spaces, microphones, computers, wood, metal, paint, paper, plastic and glass in the development of his practice.
Steel Supplies is an experimental / harsh noise cassette, housed by a sculpture constructed of steel and wood. A steel plate forms a base for the cassette to sit, which is then enclosed by wire threaded through the steel and a shaped piece of wood to clasp the sculpture shut. Made and released by Cooper himself.
Being made out of steel, please note this tape will cost a little more to post than usual.
