Portraits Of Past – S/T LP

Originally released in 1996 this eight song LP was not an immediate success. When it first came out it was way ahead of its time and the band's popularity didn't really explode until long after the band had broken up. Portraits of Past started out as a 1990's straight edge hardcore band and their debut split 7" with Bleed captured that sound. But the LP was much more controlled and refined and layered.  It had a moody almost sad feel to it that was quite captivating.  At this point, that sound has become a classic and this LP remains as an important milestone of 1990's hardcore.
