Hand built telephone microphone made using an old telephone transducer. Hand built by Medor Amps in Melbourne, Australia, these sound devices are built to be used with effects, processors, guitar amplifiers, PA systems and recording equipment.
Julian Medor is a performer & artist that also runs MEDORamps, a small electronics creative endeavour that focuses on modified, vintage, salvaged and repurposed electronics.
This series of gear is a homage towards the DIY raw, rudimentary aesthetic of industrial, experimental, lofi noise maker instruments such as crude vocal and contact mics made from found objects, E-Waste, obsolete home items and salvaged consumerist landfill.
