Nikudorei / Scum – Live at Earthdom CD

The second collaborative release by Nikudorei and scum, two representatives of the Japanese noise grind/harsh noise scene, is a live album! Two live performances recorded in 2010 and 2013 at EARTHDOM in Shin-Okubo, the holy land of HC, are vacuum-packed! Co-released by SLUG TAPES, run by scum, and Shitai Cassette! The collaborative work "My Nation Is Crap" by Nikudorei and scum, released in 2012 by Dada Drumming, a long-established American noise label, was imported back to Japan and gained tremendous support from noise fans. While that work featured the howling noise of Nikudorei Okada, the harsh noise that scum emits without knowing how much creates chaos in the listener's eardrums, making it an exciting work that shakes the brain stem. This work, "LIVE at EARTHDOM", will be released less than a year after that work. As the title suggests, this album contains two collaborative live performances by the two artists, which were held at EARTHDOM, one of Japan's leading hardcore venues, Shin-Okubo. The recording on December 4, 2022 was a "noise grind" performance packed with short cut songs, and the recording on March 8, 2025 was a beatless, "harsh noise" approach that shook the venue. This work allows you to reaffirm the range of musical sensibilities of both Nikudorei/scum. Both takes were recorded by ystk hrn of dotsmark, a noise label known for its unique release lineup, and mastered by Nobuki Nishiyama of soup, who shakes the world from the basement in Ochiai. The artwork was done by Adam Medford of Illinois, USA, who is known for his jacket work on noise artists such as Striations and God Is War, as well as goregrind artists such as Pharmacist and Fluids, including the split cassette of scum/Scatmother. Introducing the deadly noise eardrum-shattering disc, delivered with a perfect lineup that allows no compromise in anything!!!
