Matt Parlane manages to retain a rare and humble modesty. His music is a little reminiscent of a coming-of-age film, lost through inimitable melodies, rough punkish chord progressions. Never highlighted through arrogance, Matt encompasses the feelings we all share: life is a bit awkward, uncomfortable, but nonetheless it's pain that enables us to ‘write such half arsed songs’.
