The world feels no better since last we met Ignorance and their self titled 2023 EP. Countless lives have been destroyed in futile wars still raging, collective society continues to be apathetically unjust and there does not seem to be any hope of stopping humanity’s downward trajectory toward oblivion. However, with bursts of creative noise, there are ways to combat our seemingly doomed future and Ignorance has done just that with this six song EP. “Nothing Changed” is a raw, primitive Helsinki hardcore punk challenge to the anger, frustration and disappointment in the world at hand that draws from both classic and contemporary influences like Kriegshög’s militaristic precision, the noisy mania of Lebenden Toten, Disorder’s unhinged pogo and the crushing d-beat power of Physique. You’d be foolish to ignore this.
