Debut full-length from one of the most promising new names in US death metal, delivering ten relentless tracks fuelled by blistering blast beats, frantic guitar work, and an atmosphere steeped in decay. Inspired by experiences in an old cemetery on the outskirts of Washington, DC, the album transforms real-world encounters with mortality into a savage and uncompromising assault.

Formed in Washington, DC in 2022, Goetia quickly established themselves with a string of acclaimed EPs and relentless touring alongside acts including Altars, Vastum, and Healing Magic. Building on the occult themes of their earlier releases, Mortuary Cult takes a more focused conceptual approach, channelling the eerie history and atmosphere of a local cemetery into ten tracks of fast-paced, unrelenting death metal.

Retaining the intensity that has defined the band's output to date, Goetia balance violent riffing, chaotic guitar solos, and relentless blasting with a sharpened sense of purpose. Recorded by Matt Michel at Viva Studio, mixed by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios, and adorned with artwork by Chris Taylor, Mortuary Cult is a powerful debut that firmly establishes Goetia as one of the most promising new names in contemporary Death Metal.
