Everyday Alchemy zine
Natalie Blom is a photomedia artist from Boorloo/Perth, Western Australia. Blom completed an Advanced Diploma of Photography at Central Institute of Technology in 2010. Blom’s practice predominantly investigates personal histories through connection with place utilising analogue photographic processes and experimental means of production. Blom’s recent focus is in self published zines as a mode of communicating her images and concepts.
Everyday Alchemy is an ongoing photographic project of Natalie Blom. This photozine consists of images created using an experimental analogue technique known as film soaking. By soaking film in household materials, chemical reactions are caused on the film's surface prior to photographic development.
