Convulsing – Grievous LP

How often do you hear a new Death Metal band and feel like you've heard it all before? Even most Death Metal sub-genres are established enough to have their traditions and tropes at this point. Well executed examples of already existing sounds can hit the spot sometimes, but when an artist successfully pushes the envelope, the genre benefits without a shadow of a doubt. Australian solo project Convulsing is a shining example of Death Metal innovation, mostly thanks to their obvious fearlessness to truly express themselves, and not only creatively.
