Onwards to Slaughter is Black Jesus' fourth album, and in many ways, a respectful nod to the 80s and 90s Hardcore, Thrash, Death Metal and Grind pioneers they grew up listening to.

"The music, the messages and the live performances of those bands always felt calculated, caustic and direct; qualities we worked hard to instil in our music for over 17 years. We wanted to step these qualities up a gear with Onwards To Slaughter. However, it took 10 years, two line-up changes, a pandemic, and finally some heavy-duty elbow grease to finally realise the vision this new album demanded.
