Assumption – Mosaic of the Distant Dominion CD

Italian band Assumption has made a great impact on the death-doom scene post the release of their 1st full-length album Absconditus in 2018. Mosaic of the Distant Dominion is the debut demo, originally released in 2012 and now re-issued by Weird Truth Productions as digisleeve CD.
As you may guess from their logo, their main influence is the mighty diSEMBOWELMENT but the record also contains plenty of Pink Floyd-esque psychedelic elements. Vocally they incoporate low growls, but also Pestilence/Obituary style hysterics. Compared to their latter material, the songs on this demo lean much more into their death metal side.
